NEW CONSERVATION PROGRAM NEEDS COMMENTS

Inside, you’ll find a VERY brief description of parts of the proposed rules for the Conservation Security Program (CSP). The full rules are over 100 pages in length, so I’ve pulled out just a few items for your attention.

Whether or not you plan to participate in CSP, you are encouraged to get the rules and write official comments to NRCS. To assist you, the center section of this newsletter contains some statements with which you can agree or disagree, plus room for your personal thoughts. You are encouraged to add on to this form, or to comment via email. All LAND members who have sent me a valid email address, have already received information on how to email their comments. If you’d like to be added to that alert list, please email me.

CSP may be with us for many years. We all need to comment and try to make the program as positive as possible.
